I hope no one played any really nasty tricks on you hehe!
I was chatting with a friend last night who runs a painting group, where a bunch of girls get together for several hours and make some art.
{They tend to use mostly acrylic paints; a medium I find quite challenging to work with. Okay - that's a total understatement - I find them a HOLY NIGHTMARE to work with. Oils are even worse!}
SO I thought I would share some of my acrylic paintings that weren't total failures like my other attempts.
Just curious - which one is your favourite, and which is your least favourite? My favourite is the last one, and my least favourite... well I didn't post any of those LOL.
My favorite is the sunset over the ocean. I like the bright colors . . . I have always been a fan of colors that are opposite on the color wheel, the bright contrast makes me happy. I once got $450 for a painting that I kind of hated. When I looked at it, all I saw was everything that I did wrong. But, guess what the person that purchased it was the owner of the galley that was sponsoring my show. You never know how art will touch someone. LOL
ReplyDeleteP.S. I saw that you are now following my husbands blog, thanks so much, it just made his day today when he when there and had three actual followers (other than me and himself hee-hee). You're a sweetie. Connie :)
I love that one too! It makes me so cheerful ^_^ That's true, you'll never know what someone else finds value in. One person's junk is another's treasure, after all! :P
DeleteI genuinely love you and your husbands blogs. You're both very talented and creative, and I look forward to seeing your next big adventures! :)
I love the tree silhouette so pretty and the colours are great;-)
