Titania from A Midsummer Night's Dream

Titania is the last full painting of the year!

"Titania" from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, painted by Sasha Fitzgerald.

During a feud with her husband, Oberon, King of the Faeries, over who should keep a human boy, a devilish trick is played upon her. While she is asleep, Oberon puts a magical flower's juice on her eyelids, which will make her fall in love with the first person she sees upon waking. This lucky person happens to be a donkey-headed man!
