Some News

I've been propositioned to illustrate some children's stories for ebooks and print, which I'm super excited about. The stories revolve around faeries, which is a subject I obviously adore <: I can't help thinking of my idols: Brian Froud, Arthur Rackham etc.. and the brilliant faerie tales and faerie worlds they've illustrated, and wonder if this is my chance to embark on a similar front.

One of the things they said to me was that they loved my style of work. It was a great feeling to hear that. To hear that they liked my style... and that they didn't want it to be changed to more of this style or that style (though who knows, they might when/if things get going). I hope this works out! I'll keep you guys updated ^_^

Another thing - do you guys ever find you're running out of space for your craft supplies? Well I sure do! I have a largish bedroom, and half of it is divided into my sleeping area (with a bed and tv), and the other half is devoted to my 'art studio'. The thing is, I need space to store more than just art supplies - I have to store finished products/pieces, my scanner & printer, my product displays, and my packaging supplies. It's a lot of stuff for a bedroom.

Also, I find that working from home has me inside a lot more than I like. It also makes sleeping in and staying up late, wearing pajamas 24/7, and general procrastination too tempting to avoid. I was a lot more productive at school! So I feel it's time to embark on getting a small studio space outside of home.

It just so happens that a friend of mine has a studio that she isn't using very often lately, and may be interested in renting it out. I've been there a few time before, and it's really quite cute! It's a small two story structure that her father built several years ago. It's kind of has a cute little cottage feel to it. Anyway, I don't want to get too excited in case it doesn't work out - but I'm still VERRRY excited about the possibility of having my own studio space outside of home. ^______^

Alrighty, it's time for me to catch some zzzzZZZzzz's, so g'night! :)
